Entertainment Operator-Media and Content

The Entertainment Operator – Media and Content is responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of all video/content elements in the vessel’s entertainment venues. This includes set up, operation, and tear down of all additional video equipment used for Production Shows, Headline Entertainers, Enrichment speakers, presenters, and other users of the theater and shipboard entertainment venues. The Entertainment Operator – Media and Content is responsible for the operation of all video output control software/hardware for all performances in entertainment spaces and is required to monitor and maintain organizational standards on screen quality, content, and visual designs. The Entertainment Operator – Media and Content will liaise with Headline Entertainers about their video requirements in all entertainment venues where applicable, coordinate content as necessary, attend all rehearsals, and assist at all stage resets. Regular cleaning and maintenance of all video output devices in the vessels system will be lead and conducted by the Entertainment Operator – Media and Content. In addition to the duties listed above, the Entertainment Operator – Media and Content is also responsible for assisting the Entertainment Staff on any video or screen content related tasks in the vessels alternative entertainment venues as requested by the Stage &Production Manager or Technical Director. The Entertainment Operator – Media and Content is the first responsible person for all video content displayed from entertainment systems in all entertainment venues and areas.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in theater, 3d design, or entertainment technology from an accredited university or equivalent experience is required.
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in entertainment or screen content and video operation, design, set up, and maintenance is required.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with Pandoras Box and Resolume Knowledge.
  • Experience with other systems is an asset.
  • Extensive knowledge of video equipment, media servers, LED Screens, vocabulary, and relevant electrical knowledge.
  • Experience working with expansive video systems, maintenance, cleaning, assembly, and technical troubleshooting.
  • Working knowledge of computers (Windows and Mac) and connecting to external devices uch as projectors/TV Screens/and LED Screen panels, and relevant troubleshooting.
